Our History

Trapani History

Since opening our doors in 1969, the financial security of our clients has been at the heart of our business. We provide personalized wealth management services to private clients and small to mid-sized companies.

Mike Trapani, a graduate of the University of Southern California, started his life insurance business with Northwestern Mutual in 1969. After completing his military commitment in 1971, he focused his full attention on building his business by helping families and professionals with their risk and estate planning needs.

During the 1970s, Mike focused on building a personal life insurance practice, helping families and professionals with their risk and estate planning needs. In the early '80s, he formed a business relationship with Ron Hartwick, an ex-tax attorney. Their goal was to be a resource for the estate planning community, focusing on insurance and estate planning matters. As more and more of our enterprise clients needed help managing their employee benefits, Mike formed a separate business, which he later merged with Bart Dickins, forming what is now Trapani Dickins & Associates (TDA).

During the 1990s, Mike, John Calvert, and John Trapani developed the foundation for their wealth management practice. They wanted to address questions they kept hearing: Are my assets invested correctly to meet my retirement needs, charitable goals, educate my children, and transfer my estate to the next generation? Today, Mike, John, and John are all CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professionals.

At Trapani, Calvert & Meyer Wealth Management & Insurance Services, our team strives to provide continuity of service and advice during every phase of our clients' lives. Our commitment to helping our clients achieve financial security is as strong today as it was when this practice was founded over 40 years ago.
